Accruals - to settle what we left behind

I know it has been 13 days after friday the 13th - my last post. Well, a lot of things happened since then that I was not conditioned to write. And, yes, of course lack of motivation takes his credit for this phenomenon as well. I know it is an undesirable behaviour for an early stage immature blog. That is the very reason iwasbornmagenta is not officially released yet, means I still have the liberty to post or not. It's like I am engaged, the vow of writing has not bound me yet.

As the title might suggest, I shall recount and settle anything left behind for the past 13 days. I personally felt I have been settling things in accrual basis increasingly. In other words, I am delaying stuffs. Especially things that involve other person. For instance, when Yulin asked me to teach her some accounting stuff, I delayed my answer till a day before the paper. As Yulin is a sweet nice girl, I did not mean to delay, and I usually never. I was asleep when I received her message and exams preparation occupied me since then that I forgot about it. But, I settled it, in most cases I did and I do not want to miss a thing.

Victor-Victoria

Well, I shall start from this point, where this event actually kept me away from writing.

When we celebrate Fenty's Birthday ('we' refers to the Indonesian NTU who graduated from JC), Merwyn came up with an ideda to watch a musical together. And so we watched Victor Victoria on the 15th



Staged in esplanade, this spectacle was the Asian premiere. It offered very strong music arrangement, elaborate settings and good comedy. I have to admit that all the actors are truly proffesional. Besides that, they had stunning dance displays. Combined with live orchestra and powerful original composition, this musical was a delight to watch.

I was particularly mesmerized by the music composition of this piece. Th chord progession during the part where Victoria was debating with Toddy (Carroll Todd) gave me goose bumps. I've never heard such combination of jazz chords. Simply amazing.

Laura Fygi, an internationally recognised jazz singer, acted as Victoria/count Victor, the main character. She has a unique vocal that really suits jazz, soothing and swaying. She was not that stellar in terms of acting though. Matt Grey (Carroll Todd) and Nicole Stinton (Norma Cassidy) stole the show I guess. Nicole Stinton put an exceptionally entertaining performance with the bimbotic-blonde interpretation of her character.

And, you know what, we got the chance to get Ms.Fygi's autograph and interact with her!

The escapade

and, next, despite the exam drawing near, I went for a resort escape to Batam. I simply needed a break,

and after that was history ( exams, you know it...)

However, yesterday, as we celebrate Claudia's birthday ('we' refers to my fix people in school here), we self-declared a mid-exam break, well some of us. It really felt like the end of the exam that Im losing my mood to restart mugging now. (ssssiiigghhh...). We dined in this mid-eastern restaurant in Arab Street called Amira's Grill. It rocks!! We took the king's corner and dine arab style by sitting on carpet and low table. The dips was simply awesome!!! The main course was nice, especially the herbs and spices, totally exotic (Crystal's term to describe the dinner haha)and the egyptian Babousa was a sweet wrap up for the 4 course meal.

We continued to watch 2012 and, yeah, I have to admit that it was a good movie. I had a little debate with cystal after the show about the quality. She said it did not live to her expectation, but I think it was quite entertaining. Maybe because I came with no expectation whatsoever despite the hoohahs about 2012. Well it was just a disaster movie, what do you expect, I suppose.

Anyway after such a long and happy soiree, ee chong proposed that we would have after exam celebrations on 2nd and 7th, after our each paper. We are left with Ric, Seehoo, me and JC who still have the agony of exams. And, yeahs, we DEFINITELY will celebrate!! hahaha..

Exams have been well so far, I know i'm being ungrateful for committing some stuffs, ought to have self control, must.

November Rain

Back from far east

Just got back from Crystal's birthday-one of my NBS mate- in far-east-really far ( okay i exaggerate, it was downtown east, in one of the suite of Aranda Country Club, not so damn far east, but it's far in the east anyway). Kind of had a proper break before exams and really enjoyed it. Forgot to bring camera, darn! But there was HX's, so waiting for her to upload. yeahs

This bunch of people are those that I've been hanging out since year one, kind of the fix people in school. The new project mates, just knew them for a while although spent much time with my IT folks (and gonna spend more as we're workin' on the FYP).

The image above was taken when we were watching MU vs Inter and Arsenal vs dunno-I-forget after we did fm project. Rode on JC's shrek-that's how we call his gentle giant CRV- to Balcony. We became too shagged afterwards and fell asleep for a while..

JC dressed damn funny for Crystal's retro themed party, he really went all out!! and we dressed nice also! so expect awesomeness from the photos haha..

and, yeah, this is not the official release just yet, need lots of things to improve. Yes, this blog will be all bout unnecessary stuffs and rants and myself and myself and myself and myself. Considering releasing another one for proper thoughts and perspective. haha

Side note, I did not attend class this morning, going for later's one at 12.30. I think Mandy hates me... whatever. Too late, hope this doesn't damage my participation grade much

p.s should've sipped at least a bit of that jim bean, it's been a while haha. Since everyone was either having class with whatever presentations tomorrow or wanted to study, so we didn't drink. Only Crystal got red haha XD

I was born magenta!!

Honestly, the idea of starting a blog for me to rant about anything has been dwelling for very long time. I have A LOT of things inside my head that i just want to vomit them out and be proud about it (if I could). Hope this darn thing work

Again, this might not be the best time for starting a blog or rather it is a totally wrong time. I am entering my sucky exam season, I am having class later at 8.30am and the time now is 3.42am. Dammit! I don't care. I want to start spawning something and I have been bloody delaying it for bloody LONG time, like eons, seriously! And today is the day! No day but today!


And I want to be MYSELF!! and I cannot effin' care less about what you or your people or your ideology judge me! yes, heck about it. I'm kinda tired having so much demand of being somebody from so many of you, and yes I will name some: school, church, community (okay, friends, if you could call them one). I will vomit here, I'll have HUGE words diarrhoea, sometimes I wont think. and yes if you think I am angsty, YES I BLOODY AM NOW, I dont know why dont ask me..

and you may think I am some hypocrite out there and trying to redeem myself here. My answer would be hmmmm I dont know, I feel i'm not myself sometimes. Dammit I dont care. This is not created in purpose of discovering that HA!

why I was born magenta? I was pondering upon it and having quite a bit of hard time in coming up with a name and this just popped up. Tell you 'bout the simple history sometimes when I feel like it. Champagne Supernova was my initial idea, but as it is so darn cool, it's not that original anyway. Dont get me wrong, I love Oasis and I will always. It's just that I want it to be more identifiable with myself.
